The patient had dark stained teeth that were resistant to whitening as well as a missing front tooth. An implant crown was used to restore the missing tooth, and the other ceramic restorations were all matched aesthetically. Restorations by Dr Stephen Dadaian.

Full mouth rehabilitation includes the reconstruction of the entire upper and lower jaws to form, function, and aesthetics. Here is an example of what is possible with composite white fillings when layered and sculpted properly. Often times aesthetic composites require added time to achieve a natural, life-like result. This is a case of a middle school student who broke his front teeth after a bad fall. These were restored the same day  to full function and undetectable there was ever a fracture after treatment. For adolescent patients orthodontic treatment is often a necessity. Dr Stephen performs the orthodontic cases in office and is skilled in using traditional braces (brackets and wire) or clear aligners (e.g. Invisalign). This was performed on a 14 year old with traditional metal brackets, wire, and elastics to improve aesthetics, close spacing and improve overbite. This post-op photo is immediately upon bracket removal. The treatment time was less than one year. Retainers provided at the end of treatment maintain these results.

A large interest in our practice is using dental implants to support crowns and restore a smile. Often times the patient is missing all the back teeth completely on one side. It is our duty to not only aesthetically restore a patient’s bite but to also take into account how it will behave functionally to the best of our ability. After undergoing root canal therapy, some teeth require a crown while others do not. Part of our exam requires us to determine this important step. This case shows a crown over a root canal treated tooth. Whether a crown is in the front or back of the mouth, we still take the same care to make our restorations look as natural as possible. Patients who are missing all of their teeth no longer need to wear dentures. There are many options to completely restore a mouth with dental implants and below is one example. We were able to make an entire bridge for the top and bottom to give the most natural looking and feeling restoration possible. There is nothing to soak in water and nothing to take out. Often times missing teeth for extended periods of time can result in bone loss and decreased facial height due to wear. This is most extreme in patients who have no teeth. This is an example of a progress shot through full mouth rehabilitation after restoring the upper arch of teeth with crowns and bridges. The cant (downward slant of the upper teeth) was corrected as well as the overbite prosthetically. Severe grinding and other abrasions can have serious consequences on teeth. Restoring all of the lower teeth in this manner requires very careful treatment planning. Re-establishing the height of where the teeth used to be and how the new bite will come together is our main goal, while delivering a new smile that looks natural and is easy to maintain.
